At normal running, a regenerative switch 11 is connected to a contact C by a run controller 12 to close a normally driving circuit 13 and to open a regenerative current circuit 14, a current flows from a battery 1 to an armature coil 2 and a field coil 3, thereby rotating the motor. In the case of switching back, when a contactor 9 of a the coil 3 is switched so that a potential of a terminal B of the coil 2 becomes higher than the potential of a positive terminal of the battery 1, the controller 12 connects another contact D of the switch 11 to another contact D to open the circuit 13 and to close the circuit 14, thereby conducting a regenerative braking operation.
