Title:
REGISTER MOUNTING STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06143995
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely mount a register on an instrument panel, simplify dies for forming, and prevent the dies from being deformed in forming.

CONSTITUTION: A register is provided with a register body 4, a flange part 5, a locking claw 6 and a projection 7. The locking claw consists of a pair of leg parts 8, a bridging part 9 to connect the leg parts 8, and a tapered part 10. The register is inserted into an opening part 2 of an instrument panel 1 in the condition where the center part of the bridging part 9 of the locking claw 6 is deflected upward, and a lower peripheral part of the opening part 2 is held by the flange part 5 and the surface on the air-blow introducing port 4b side of the locking claw 6. The dies for forming the register 3 forms a fixed die, a movable die and a part of a parting surface, and is constituted by a slide core to be slidden in parallel to the parting surface. Thus, the structure to slide the slide core can be remarkably simplified.
