Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize registration of correct words in a short time even without the knowledge of grammar by storing automatically the conjugations and word steam into a dictionary with input of the reading forms of verbs. CONSTITUTION:A user supplies a reading form to a 'NAI' (not) input device 12 in case a negative auxiliary verb 'NAI' is added to a verb. A character deciding device 13 decides a single character put right before the negative auxiliary verb based on the input reading form. Thus the five conjugations of verbs are decided if said single character shows 'KA, GA, SA, TA, NA, BA, MA, RA or WA' (samples Japanese pronunciation) together with the higher 1-stage conjugations of verbs decided with characters 'I, KI, GI, JI, CHI, NI, HI, BI, MI or RI', and the lower 1-stage conguation of verbs decided with characters 'E, KE, GE, SE, ZE, TE, DE, NE, HE, BE, ME or RE' respectively. Furthermore the SA-row irregular conjugation is decided with a word 'SHI' with the KA-row irregular conjugation decided with a character 'KO' respectively. Then a word stem deciding device 19 decides the word stems for each conjugation. Thus it is possible to register the correct words in a short time without requiring the knowledge of grammar.
