PURPOSE: To comply with a fluid consumption demand by operating one of respective vacuum pumps when a pressure of a plurality of drums in a fluid conditioning station exceeds a set value and/or when a discharge flow of a plurality of vacuum pumps lowers below a consumption flow.

CONSTITUTION: A fluid conditioning station, a vacuum station 1 for a hospital, for example, is provided with a plurality of vacuum pumps 2-4, a plurality of drums 5, 6, a control box 7 receiving signals from a pressure transducer, and the like. The vacuum station 1 generates a vacuum in a plurality of service lines 8 via a collector 9. In addition, a plurality of lines 10, 11 are arranged in parallel between the vacuum station 1 and the collector 9. In the lines 10, 11, separation containers 12, 12a and filters 13, 13a are arranged respectively. In this case, when a pressure in each of the drums 5, 6 exceeds a set value and/or when a discharge flow of each of the vacuum pumps 2-4 lowers below a consumption flow, one of the respective vacuum pumps 2-4 is actuated.
