Abstract:
To encourage and cheer up an object person by stimulating sensitivity of the object person performing rehabilitation.SOLUTION: This robot includes a head 12, a body part 14 and an indirect mechanism 22. The indirect mechanism 22 moves the head 12 vertically and horizontally. Neither the head 12 nor the body part 14 has a shape and a pattern for specifying a body direction and expression to one direction. The robot has a shape which is almost axially symmetric to an axis 24 vertical to a floor surface or has almost planar symmetry across a plane passing through the axis 24 vertical to the floor surface. When the robot is stationary, the robot enables a user to feel the robot facing the user himself/herself in looking at the robot from ay direction and the robot having a face and an expression favorite to the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
