Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reigniting a plasma melting furnace which makes it possible to rapidly and effectively obtain a stable reignition without particularly increasing an electric circuit and an apparatus even if it has come to the stopping state of either the time of abnormal stopping of the time of normal plasma melting furnace ending or emergency stop of plasma.
SOLUTION: Conductors 11, 12 are hit from the upper part of a melting furnace 8 into a slag bath simultaneously upon stopping of a plasma, then the conduction of the conductor 12 with a furnace bottom electrode 2 is further confirmed, and then an igniting operation is again started.
