Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a reinforced plastic pipe having a high strength against external force by providing inner and outer layers composed of fiber reinforced plastic and an intermediate layer composed of resin mortar reinforced by a part of the fiber reinforcing material penetrating into the resin mortar from the inner and outer layers.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforce plastic pipe is formed into a three-layered structure having inner and outer layers 10, 20 composed of a fiber reinforced resin and the intermediate layer 30 composed of resin mortar E1 provided between both layers 10, 20. The inner and outer layers 10, 20 are formed from glass fiber reinforced resin layers wherein glass papers C, G, glass strands D, F and glass fiber mats E2, E2 are used. The intermediate layer 30 is reinforced in such a state that the glass fiber mats E2, E3 being the reinforcing materials of the inner and outer layers 10, 20 partially penetrate into the resin mortar E1 and three layers are integrally connected. By this constitution, the reinforced plastic pipe increased in interlaminar peel strength and having excellent strength against external force is obtained.
