Title:
REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM FOR MASTIC INTUMESCENT FIRE-PROOF COATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3657629
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reinforce a fireproof coating layer by embedding a specific hybrid mesh in a mastic intumescent fireproof coating layer.
CONSTITUTION: A hybrid mesh is embedded in the mastic intumescent fireproof coating layer as the reinforcement as comprises a large lattice and plural small lattices. The large lattice is formed of a first fiber consisting of a carbon fiber, a ceramic fiber or partially an asbestos fiber capable of keeping 80% or more of the room temperature tensile strength even at 343°C or higher to have corners at intervals of 1/4-4 inches. The small lattices are formed, so that they divide the large lattice, using a second fiber of a glass fiber etc. capable of losing 20% or more of the room temperature tensile strength at 343°C or higher to have corners at intervals of 2 inches or smaller.
