PURPOSE: To simply, quickly and freely change the holding interval of reinforcing bar between a bending roller and support column without preparing plural bending rollers, further to smoothly bend a specially shaped bar.

CONSTITUTION: A bender is provided with a reinforcing bar support column 20 to form the bending center of reinforcing bar to be worked, a bending roller 45 to press a reinforcing bar to the support column 20, a moving shaft 44 to support the bending roller 45, a turning member 43 (rotating table) to turn the moving shaft 44 along bending route, a drive motor to turn the turning member 43 through a transfer mechanism and a reinforcing bar support member 47 to bear the reaction of bending force imparted to a reinforcing bar. In this reinforcing bar bender 40, the bending roller 45, in which a rotating ring 49 interposing a bearing on its outer periphery is mounted, further, in which one or more inserting holes 44' at least, having with the ruggedness at the same pitch as ruggedness at a prescribed pitch formed to the moving shaft 44, are formed on the inner side. The bending roller 45 is fitting supported in rotation locked state to the moving shaft 44 attachable/detachable.
