To provide a reinforcing bar bender which is small in size, light, compact, easily treated, having excellent portability, mobility and durability, whose constitution is simple, which is suitable to mass production, inexpensive and can surely, stably and smoothly bend a reinforcing bar with a slight force.

The bender is provided with a pair of latch-hooks 1, a rocker arm 2 which is pivotally supported between latch-hooks 1 so as to freely rock and a hydraulic cylinder 10. A roll 3 is provided in the tip end of the rocker arm 2, latch groove parts 1a are respectively provided in the vicinity of the front end of latch-hooks 1, and an abutting part 4 is provided between a pair of latch-hooks 1. The rocker arm 2 is rocked by the operation of the hydraulic cylinder 10 so that the roll 3 advances to the side of patch groove parts 1a, the reinforcing bar for bending which is set between a pair of patch-hooks 1 is abutted on the reinforcing bar for latching which is latched to latch groove parts 1a, the abutting part 4 and the roll 3, and the reinforcing bar for bending is bent by the rocking operation of the rocker arm 2 at the abutted part where the reinforcing bar for latching is abutted on the reinforcing bar for bending.
