To provide a reinforcing structure for an embankment which enhances the strength of an embankment such as an embankment for a track bed or the like and elinimates such a laborious work as conventional ballast and further, which is effective for vibration-resistant reinforcement.
A specified number of horizontally crossing columnar soil cement bodies 5 are constructed in the longitudinal direction of the track in parallel or zigzag in the inside of the embankment 1 for the track bed. steel rods 6 (RC steel rod) for reinforced concrete are inserted into the soil cement bodies 5, and a tension is introduced into the RC steel rods 6 to impart a prestressed force (compression force) to the soil cement bodies 5 and enhance the rigidity of the soil cement bodies 5 and protrude the bodies 5 upwards to keep flat the upper face of the track bed against the weight of rolling stocks or the like and prevent ballast from settling. Further, the embankment for the track bed is formed to have a vibration-resistant reinforced structure by reinforcing the embankment with a specified number of rigid soil cement bodies 5.
