Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate an opposing direction between terminals while using general portable terminals, without requiring any infrastructure facility or any special hardware.SOLUTION: A search side (a) wirelessly notifies a searched side (b) of a transmission interval beforehand, then transmits sonic waves in a pulse train shape simultaneously with a swing operation to be applied to a terminal, and records a terminal direction in each pulse transmission (a1). The searched side (b) which is performing reception and recording determines a reception interval by identifying and extracting a portion strongly correlated to the notified transmission interval from recording, and wirelessly notifies the search side (a) of the reception interval. The search side (a) compares the reception interval with the transmission interval (a2)(a3), and estimates the terminal direction corresponding to a time point when a magnitude relationship of the intervals is switched on the basis of the Doppler principle as an opposing direction in which the searched side (b) is present.
