Title:
RELATIVE GUIDANCE USING GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2625360
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for guiding a guidance vehicle to a target accurately using a global positioning system by an artificial satellite without relying on a sensor such as a radar.
CONSTITUTION: A first global positioning system receiver 24 of a first vehicle 20 and a second global positioning system receiver 32 of a second vehicle 30 receive a global positioning signal from a selected constellation of an artificial satellite. The first vehicle 20 detects a target 28 with a machine sensor 26 and coverts a target position to a reference frame of the constellation. The target position represented by the reference frame of the constellation is communicated to a navigation system of the second vehicle 30, and the second vehicle 30 advances to the target position communicated under the control of the navigation system using a position signal obtained from the receiver 32.
