Abstract:
To provide a technique of inspecting a relay route of a relay device from a plurality of reception ports to a plurality of transmission ports.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a relay device 10 which receives a communication frame communicated between a plurality of communication nodes from one of a plurality of reception ports 40 and sends the communication frame from one of a plurality of transmission ports 50 to relay the communication frame. The relay device includes: a frame generation unit; route selection units 108, 210, and 212; and a frame determination unit. The frame generation unit generates an inspection frame for inspecting whether a relay route between a reception port and a transmission port is normal or not and outputs the inspection frame. The route selection unit causes the inspection frame output from the frame generation unit to pass through the relay route from the plurality of reception ports to the plurality of transmission ports. The frame determination unit determines whether the relay route is normal on the basis of whether the inspection frame, which was output from the frame generation unit and passed through the relay route, is received normally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
