Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay capable of preventing the occurrence of contact conduction failures.SOLUTION: A relay 1 includes: a coil 2; a fixed contact 60; a movable contact 70; and a contact surrounding member 10 surrounding the fixed contact 60 and the movable contact 70 and separating the fixed contact 60 and the movable contact 70 from the coil 2. In the relay 1, the fixed contact 60 and the movable contact 70 are tightly sealed with the contact surrounding member 10, so that moisture produced from a coat of a coil 21 due to energization to the coil 2 can be prevented from being diffused in atmospheric gas in which the fixed contact 60 and the movable contact 70 are present. Accordingly, the occurrence of freezing at the fixed contact 60 and the movable contact 70 can be prevented, and the occurrence of contact conduction failures can be prevented.
