Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow rapid release by providing a spring element integrally with the socket bottom walls of male and female members, and allowing the length of a center rigid arm to impart preload to the spring element during snap engagement of the male and female members.
CONSTITUTION: When teeth 6 are in an engaged position inside a slot 22, a rigid arm 7 has a length such that it interferably cooperates with an elastic device 4. A shoulder 10 is moved to make contact with an edge 11, and a plate spring 41 is deformed by being deflected to the outside of a socket 20, producing a reaction force toward the arm 7. Soon a male member 3 is pressed backward to bring about play-free engagement of the teeth 6 with the edge 16. A buckle is coupled in an excellent configuration as a gap G is shifted to displacement between the shoulders 10, 11, and the teeth 6 are engaged with the edge 16 and held by an elastic reaction force produced by the plate spring 41. At the stage of closure of the buckle, the plate spring 41 is preloaded and thereby causes flipping-out of a male member 3 from the socket 20 with great speed, causing rapid release from a female member 2.
