Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain high-quality release paper even if the amount of a silicone resin to be used for its releaser layer is limited to a low level, or without the need of using a coater with high coating accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: A paper base material is provided with a coating layer using an aqueous dispersion of a mixture of an ionized radiation-curable silicone resin and another resin (i.e. ionized radiation-noncurable one) followed by heat treatment to evaporate the water in the coating layer along with segregating the above silicone resin onto the surface of the coating layer due to blooming. Thence, this coating layer is irradiated with ionized radiation to cure the silicone resin, thus obtaining the objective release paper.
