To provide a release type electromagnetic device for ground fault circuit interrupter in which the electromagnetic device that is excitation driven by output current of a zero-phase-sequence current transformer can be operated by small flowing current, and small sizing of the zero-phase-sequence current transformer can be realized.
The release type electromagnetic device 2 is constructed of an electromagnetic coil 5 wound through a bobbin 4 on a yoke 3, a movable iron piece 7 provided at the end part of the yoke capable of separation, a permanent magnet 8 for attracting the movable iron piece 7 to the yoke 3, a degaussing coil 6 wound consecutively with the electromagnetic coil 5 on the outer circumference of the permanent magnet 8, and a spring 10 that energizes so as to release the movable iron piece 7 from the yoke 3. When the output current from the zero-phase current transformer is made to flow to the electromagnetic coil 5 and the degaussing coil 6, a magnetic flux in reverse direction to the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 8 is generated, and the movable iron piece 7 is released from the yoke 3 with a small flowing current.
