Title:
RELIEF DEVICE AS PROSTHESIS FOR STABILIZING INTERBODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06285100
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable flexion and dilation of two units of inter body to match with movements of actual intravertebral disk by using an element equipped with an elastic body which has a smaller capacity than that of a space defined by a piston in a free state toward the bottom of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: Each element 1 has a bottomed cylinder 1a and a disk 2 is attached to the opening. Within the cylinder 1a, by way of an elastic body 7 such as rubber, a bottomed cylinder 4 forming a notch in the longitudinal direction on one side, is installed. Within this cylinder 4 in a recess of a part of globular plane, a globe 5a of a screw 5 to screw a leg screw 6 is set and is pulled and fixed by the engagement of circular protrusion 2a installed on the inner plane of the disk 2. In order to interconnect adjacent elements 1, an assembler pipe 3 having a U-letter shaped notch 3c on both upper and lower planes, the space between elements 1 are interconnected by being engaged to each of cross-sectional T-letter shaped mortises 1c and 2c formed on the upper and lower notches on the outer plane of the bottom 1b of the cylinder 1a and the upper plane of the disk 2.
