Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent fluid from excessive rise in a relief valve used for a fuel supply unit or the like of a fuel injection system engine by constituting to open a flow path to flow fluid when the temperature of the fluid exceeds a predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 16 is constituted from a disk portion 16a connected to a diaphragm 11, a rod portion 16b and a valve portion 16c. The valve portion 16c engages a valve seat 18 through a bimetal 17. The other end of the bimetal 17 is secured fixedly to a valve box 10 by a fixing piece 19. When the temperature of fluid 21 exceeds a predetermined one, the bimetal 17 warps to move the valve body 16 upward and flow fluid 21 into a gap produced between the valve seat 18 and the valve body 16. When the temperature of the fluid 21 is less than the predetermined one, the bimetal 17 returns to the original position.
