PURPOSE: To preserve the remains over a long period of time, by putting a coffin having the remains put therein in a protective case from the opening part thereof and further mounting a freezing device to the opening part of said case not only to hermetically close the case but also to cool the same.
CONSTITUTION: A protective case 1 is formed into a rectangular box shape made longer than a coffin by side panels 3 formed using a heat insulating material and a receiving space S is formed in the protective case 1. The coffin having the remains put therein and a freezing device 2 are received in the receiving space S of the protective case 1 and the remains in the protective case 1 is cooled along with the coffin by the freezing device 2. An opening part 4 is formed to the front surface of the protective case 1 and the coffin can be received in and drawn out from the protective case through the opening part 4. The freezing device 2 is mounted to the opening part 4 of the protective case 1 to cool the interior of the protective case 1.
