PURPOSE: To obtain a remedy for osteopathy, having bone resorption-suppressing effect and excellent bone calcification activity and useful especially for the remedy of osteopathy at periodontal part, by compounding a calcification promoter such as insulin, protamine, chondroitin sulfate, etc., and an osteoanaplerotic material.
CONSTITUTION: The objective remedy for osteopathy contains (A) a calcification promotor selected from insulin, protamine, chondroitin sulfate, heparin, hyaluronic acid, dextran sulfate, their salts and vitamin K and (B) a water-soluble osteroanaplerotic material which is solid at normal temperature (preferably a calcium phosphate-type anaplerotic material such as hydroxyapatite, etc.). The component A is preferably chondroitin sulfate. The remedy has high stability, excellent biocompatibility, bone-resorption suppressing effect and excellent calcification effect and applicable without causing side effect. It is effective against osteoporosis, Behcet disease and especially periodontal diseases in which osteoanagenesis is hopless.
