PURPOSE: A remedy for pimple having high durability and improved remedying effect free from hormone action, obtained by blending a medium with 11α- hydroxyprogesterone as a main drug, a germicide, a keratin solubilizer and a lipid adsorbent in a proper ratio.

CONSTITUTION: A medium is blended with 0.1W3wt% 11α-hydroxyprogesterone (11-OHP for short), 0.1W20wt% germicide (e.g., resorcin, benzoyl peroxide, etc.), 0.025W10wt% keratin solubilizer (e.g., salicylic acid, sulfur, etc.) and 0.5W5wt% lipid adsorbent (e.g., kaolin, bentonite, etc.). 11-OHP as a 5α-reductase inhibitor suppresses formation of dihydrotestosterone, a main cause of pimple. Furthermore, 11-OHP has no hormone action which progesterone has, has improved endermic absorption, improved durability and high inhibitory action on functions of sebaceous gland.
