Abstract:
To provide a remelting furnace and a remelting method each of which allows for evaluation of a hydrogen concentration in a produced ingot in a way of performing remelting.SOLUTION: A remelting furnace 1 is provided that includes a water partial pressure measurement part 20 which measures a steam partial pressure in a storage space R storing a consumable electrode E and a hydrogen concentration estimation part 25 which estimates a hydrogen concentration in an ingot I produced by remelting of the consumable electrode E on the basis of the steam partial pressure measured by the water partial pressure measurement part 20 and the hydrogen concentration in the consumable electrode E. A remelting method is also provided in which the consumable electrode E is remelted using such a remelting furnace 1 to produce the ingot I.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
