To provide a remote connecting device of pipe members easily manufacturable by simple structure at a low cost, lightweight with excellent workability, with a small number of very simple specific processes till completion of connection of pipes, wherein the connection of pipe members is completed with little effort for a short period of time.
The remote connecting device comprises an operating part 12, an operated part 14, and a clasping/moving means 18. The opening part 12 is mounted and engaged from the upper side of a connected pipe member R when connected to the lower end side of either one of two operation rods 16a and 16b disposed in the vertical direction, and a part of a connecting pipe member T is inserted and disposed into the connected pipe member R. The operated part 14 is mounted from the upper side of the connecting pipe member T and engaged, and comprises a clasping member 32 for clasping a body side part of the connecting pipe member T to be pressed or separated/released freely. The clasping/moving means 18 interlocks with the operating part 12 and the operated part 14, and moves the operated part 14 toward the operating part 12 while clasping the connecting pipe member T by oscillating the upper side of the operation rod 16b on the operating part side.
