PURPOSE: To attain the remote control many appliances to be controlled as many as possible by dividing a reference frequency by two or more different frequency dividing ratios and selecting the frequency dividing ratios.

CONSTITUTION: A reference oscillation frequency output 2 obtained from an oscillator 1 is inputted to m frequency dividers 31∼3m having frequency dividing ratios 1/N1∼1/Nm respectively and respective outputs of the frequency dividers 31∼3m are connected to a divided frequency selector 4. The selector 4 outputs the output of a frequency divider 3k specified by a selecting signal 4' to a modulator 6 as a divided frequency output 5. The modulator 6 modulates an output data 7 by using the output 5 as a carrier and outputs a modulated output 8. Consequently, many appliances can be controlled.
