A controlling part 22 is provided in a lock unit 3 to judge the adaptability of a key 2. Locking or unlocking signals are received from the key 2 by a receiver 26. The received signals are demodulated by a demodulator 27 and the locking or unlocking signals are encoded and the adaptability of the key 2 is judged in a judging part of adaptability. And further a memory 29 for expected figures corresponding to the signals from a plurality of keys 2 and an input part 30 registering the key 2 on the basis of the operation on an operation panel or cancelling it, are provided. And an announcing part 31 is provided to inform the users of the unusableness by means of buzzers, or melodies, when the used key is not adaptable.
