This pet type robot has an autonomously movable intelligence function which remotely controls electronic equipment based on instruction information from a user. The robot is equipped with a control information table 8 for remote controlling relating individual control information of electronic equipment to instruction information from a user, a priority order setting means 6 to set a priority order on each player, a digital (sound) information memory means 3 which stores inputted instruction information as digital information, a specified user (talker) identification means 7 to analyze digital information to specify the user, an instruction information acquiring means 9 which analyzes digital information to acquire control information for electronic equipment by the control information table, a radio communication means 11 which transmits/receives control information by infrared communication or short range radio communication, and a control information transmitting means 10 to transmit/receive control information to/from electronic equipment based on a priority order and instruction information.
