This remote controller comprises a main body having an operating portion provided with operation switches 2, 3, and a display portion 1, and a cover 15 openably and closably mounted on the main body for covering the operating portion and the display portion 1, the cover 15 comprises buttons 16, 17 disposed on the cover 15 in a state that they are partially overlapped to desired one of the operation switches 2, 3 and the display portion 1 when the operating portion 11 and the display portion 1 are covered by the cover 15, and having areas larger than the desired one of the operation switches 2, 3, and the buttons 16, 17 are constituted to press the desired one of the operation switches 2, 3 simultaneously with pressing-down of the buttons 16, 17 in such a state that the operating portion and the display portion 1 are covered by the cover 15.
