PURPOSE: To obtain a remote controller easy to use by providing a timer circuit to output a recognition requiring signal for constant time even after a push button switch is released.

CONSTITUTION: Voice for remote control is generated toward a microphone 1 with depressing a pressing button switch 3 and a voice signal converted into an electric signal is FM-modulated in a modulation circuit 2 and is transmitted with infrared rays only when a timer circuit 4 outputs recognition requirement in a transmission circuit 5. On the other hand, a transmission signal transmitted at the receiving circuit 5 is rectified in a carrier detecting circuit 7, the existence of a carrier is detected with comparing with a threshold value, a recognition requiring signal is obtained and voice recognition is started and is forced-ended at a receiving side. Then, the recognition requiring signal is outputted from the timer circuit 4 while the push button switch 3 is depressed and for constant time T from releasing the push button switch 3 till determining with a RC. Thus, it is satisfied with depressing the push button switch only while the voice is generated.
