To provide a remote supervisory system of an industrial furnace burner making it possible to precisely determine the burning state of a burner at a remote location.
The system has one or a plurality of flame monitoring cameras 5 for photographing the flames 75 of one or a plurality of burners 70 disposed in an industrial furnace 7, a burner side computer 3 connected to the flame monitoring cameras 5, and a supervisory computer 2 connected to the burner side computer 3 via a broadband line 9 having a transmission speed of 64 kbit/ sec or more. The burner side computer 3 has a video transmission means for sampling the video data of the flames 75 photographed by the flame monitoring cameras 5 and for transmitting the data to the supervisory computer 2 via the broadband line 9. The supervisory computer 2 has a video display means for receiving the video data and displaying the video of the flames 75 in almost real-time.
