Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove efficiently an alkali metal catalyst indispensable to the synthesis of a high-molecular epoxy polymer from the polymer solution. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous solution type cation exchange resin and/or) alumina as an ion adsorbent are added to a high-molecular epoxy polymer containing impurities such as alkali metal ions, and the resulting mixture is agitated and filtered to remove the alkali metal ions from the epoxy polymer.
