Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal device which can surely remove a foreign substance bonded to a surface of a roll in a continuous treatment line of a steel strip, and is installed in a limited space of the continuous treatment line of the steel strip.SOLUTION: A removal device includes: a doctor blade; a blade holding section which holds the doctor blade and has a movement mechanism that can move the doctor blade to a position in contact with a surface of a roll and a position separated from the surface thereof; a partition section which partitions the blade holding section; a base section which has a space opened in a direction at which a blade edge of the doctor blade faces, and where the partition section is provided inside of the space, and the space is partitioned into a first chamber and a second chamber opened in the direction at which the blade edge of the doctor blade faces by the partition section; a dust collection mechanism which is installed in the first chamber and sucks the space surrounded by the first chamber; and a wiping mechanism which is installed in the second chamber, has a pad capable in brought into contact with the roll, and wipes the surface of the roll by the pad.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
