Abstract:
To provide a technique of removing harmful contaminants from porous materials, more specifically, a technique of removing PCB from porous materials, such as timber, paper ands polymer films to be used for manufacture of electric apparatus.
The method for removing the harmful contaminants from the porous materials comprises (a) a step of putting the porous materials into a drum having a horizontal axis, (b) a step of putting a liquid solvent to the harmful contaminants in the drum, (c) a step for rotating the drum around its horizontal axis for the time sufficient for mixing of the prescribed amount of the harmful contaminants with the solvent, and (d) a step of removing the fluid solvent from the drum thereafter.
