Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove effectively a lithium compound without carrying out a complicated step by bringing a solution containing a conjugated diolefin polymer and a lithium compound in contact with a specified compound.
CONSTITUTION: To a solution containing 1 to 50 wt.% conjugated diolefin polymer and a lithium compound in an amount of 25 to 5,000 ppm based on the polymer that are dissolved in a solvent is added (0.2 to 10 wt.% magnesium phosphate, dibasic magnesium phosphate, or magnesium dihydrogenphosphate or a mixture thereof, and the solution is brought in contact therewith under a pressure of 2 to 80 bars at 25 to 120°C for 10 to 240 min, followed by centrifuging and settling to separate the above mixture, thereby recovering the conjugated diolefin polymer decreased in the lithium content.
