To obtain a remover of a dyeing material, etc., having excellent removing effects on stain of dyeing material attached to hands, skin, scalp, etc., in using a hair dyeing agent containing an acid dye or the like.

This remover of a dyeing material contains (A) 0.1-15 wt.% of an amphoteric surfactant, (B) 0.1-30 wt.% of a nonionic surfactant, (C) 0.1-30 wt.% of an aromatic alcohol and/or a monohydric lower alcohol and (D) an inorganic alkali agent and/or an organic alkali agent and has pH 8-13. In this case, the remover has higher effects when (A) the amphoteric surfactant is an imidazoline type amphoteric surfactant or (B) the nonionic surfactant is a fatty acid alkylolamide type nonionic surfactant.
