Abstract:

To provide a removing device to effect stable sludge treatment and sanitary treatment of arrested foreign matters by a method wherein a fibrous hardly-decomposable material contained in sludge is reliably arrested and removed.

This removing device is provided with an endless cable 3 stretched between sheaves 21 and 22 arranged respectively in the upper position of a water tank 1 where sludge is circulated and in the water tank 1 and circulatingly driven. Further, the removing device comprises an arrested material removing means 4 disposed below the sheave 21 arranged in the upper position of the water tank 1 and removes the fibrous hardly-decomposable material arrested by the cable 3 in a position above a water surface through circulation drive.
