Title:
REMOVING METHOD AND REMOVING DEVICE FOR DEPOSITS OF IMMERSING ROLL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2668846
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To rapidly and efficiently remove the deposits on the surface of the temp. roll to be used in a hot dip metal coating bath by taking, out the roll to the outside of a plating line and spraying the shower of a washing liquid while rotating the roll.
CONSTITUTION: The dross, etc., of the hot dip metal coating bath of the device for plating the surfaces of a steel sheet with a molten metal, such as molten zinc, stick to the surface of the roll to be used by immersing the roll into the metal coating bath and damage the surface of the plated steel sheet supported by this roll and, therefore, the roll is taken out of the plating line and is supported on revolving rollers 9, 10 within a tank 2 contg. the washing liquid 6, such as acid soln., and while the roll 1 is kept rotated by driving of a motor 11, the washing liquid 6 circulated by a pump 7 is sprayed from shower nozzles 8 disposed in the upper part. The deposits dissolved and peeled by the acid soln. are captured by a filter 5 and the washing liquid 6 is dropped into the tank 2 and is again circulated by the pump 7 so as to be recycled to remove the deposits. The deposits on the surface of the roll 1 are rapidly and efficiently removed by the smaller volume of the washing liquid.
