Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [wherein A is formula II [wherein R4 is formula III (wherein R7 is a 1-10C alkyl or the like; and t is 0, 1 or 2) or the like; R5 is phenyl, 2-thienyl or the like; m is 1, 2 or 3; n and p are each 0, 1 or 2]; B is phenylalanine or the like; R1 is H, a 1-10C alkyl or the like; R2 is H or a 1-10C alkyl; R3 is formula IV (wherein R6 is H, hydroxyl or the like; X is -CF2- or the like; q and s are each 0 or 1-4; and r is 0 or 1); and R9 is H, a 1-10C alkyl or the like] and a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: N-(2R)-benzyl-3-t-butylsulfonylpropionyl-His-I(S)-cyclohexylmethyl-2(S)- hydroxy-5-(2-pyridyl)pentylamide.
USE: An antihypertensive.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula I is obtained for example by coupling e.g. a carboxyl-terminated fragment with a suitable fragment having free amino group.
