Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind a defect part of a pipe with a remote operation, and put an insert material for carrying out repair welding by installing a pivot movable forward/backward against a pipe center to a carriage running on a rail, and also installing a front/back shaft movable for/backward against the pipe center, an insert supplying mechanism, and a welding torch on a turntable.
SOLUTION: A guide rail 6 is installed on a floor between standing piping 1a, and a welding device is accessed with a piping group. A remote operation is carried out by a control unit 3 while a working condition is monitored by a monitor 4. A pivot is moved in a direction where the piping la enters a U-shaped opening, and the center of the U-shaped opening is matched with that of the piping 1a, so as to fix the entire welding device 2 to the piping 1a. A grinding machine for removing the defect part of the piping 1a, an insert supplying mechanism, and a welding torch are put on the turntable movably for/backward against the center of the piping 1a. The insert material whose posture is adjusted by the remote operation, is inserted into a repair objective welding part 1b where the defect part is removed, so as to carry out welding repair.
