Abstract:
PURPOSE: To estimate the repairing cost accurately by recording a plurality of positions to be repaired, work items, work indexes, prices of components, etc., on a recording medium, selecting the work items on a display means, and then determining the sum of money for each work item.
CONSTITUTION: Each work item included at each position to be repaired, names of components, work indexes for calculating the repairing cost, sum of money, etc., are stored on a recording medium 1 comprising a compact disc. When the repairing cost is estimated, a reading means 2 reads out the stored data and presents the data on a display means 4, e.g. a CRT, where the repairing range is selected followed by selection of work items and components at a position to be repaired. A processing circuit 3 calculates the work cost based on the work items and components and a printer 5 prints out an estimate, a sales slip, etc. This constitution realizes automatic calculation of repairing cost for a troubled vehicle.
