PURPOSE: To achieve safe repairing with durability by providing a pipe, a thread ridge formed by a material and tapped in an opening bored in a casing portion, an adaptor, a means forming a tandem type high pressure seal, and a means for fixing the outer end portion of the adaptor to the pipe, and providing the adaptor with a hole for circulating a fluid.
CONSTITUTION: An adaptor is formed between a pump and a pipe 16. The pipe is cut off from a casing 10 to cut off the damaged metal. Secondly, the casing 10 of the pump is machined to receive the adaptor. The adaptor 24 is so constructed that the screwed inner end portion 27 of the adaptor main body 26 is screw-engaged with the thread ridge in the state of being stored in the casing opening. When the adaptor 24 is screwed in the casing 10, the shoulder 29 of the adaptor is pressed to the casing 10. O-rings 32, 34 are arranged in a groove of the main body portion 30 of the adaptor to construct a tandem type sealing device. As a result, the damaged welded connector can be repaired without welding.
