Abstract:
The method involves transmitting instructions for conversion from a super-imposed system control unit (10) to machine control units (1a-9a). A post print processing machine is fully automatically or semi-automatically converted based on partial products for a following production order to be processed in a production system (20). A determination is made whether conversion of the processing machine is completed. A completion of the conversion is transmitted from the machine control units to the system control unit. The processing machine of the production system is divided into segments. The post print processing machine is designed as a digital printing press (1), a buffer section (2), a book block feeder (3), a fly leaf feeder (4), binder (5) e.g. perfect binder or adhesive binder, a discharge element (6), a cutting machine (7) i.e. three-way trimmer, a stacker (8) and a gathering machine (9). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for converting a production system for post print processing to change from a production order to a next production order (2) a production system.
