PURPOSE: To secure the projection of both the video signal and the data signal in compound at the reproducing time, using the magnetic disk which possesses several tracks on which the video signal is recorded directly in the analog value or the like and previously plus the fixed track on which the data is recorded previously in the digital value respectively.

CONSTITUTION: The map is recorded on the video disk of magnetic disk 1; and the name and the position of the spot are recorded on the data track. The name of the spot to be retrieved is keyed in by keyboard 12. Decoder 14 decides the coincidence between the reproduced data name code signal sent from magnetic head 3 and the name code signal keyed in. When the video signal is reproduced via magnetic head 5 and then sent to synchronous isolator 19, the code signals indicating the position and the character are read out of RAM28. And the reproduced video signal is mixed with the character signal at mixer 20. Thus the position and the name of the desired spot on the map are displayed on monitor TV29.
