To provide a reproducing device provided with resume function capable of performing the resume reproduction from the position corresponding to the track position of the interrupted time point (resume point) and the resume reproduction from the top part of the reproducing track by automatically selecting them in accordance with the interrupting state of the reproduction.

A CD reproducing part 2, an operation key 3, a resume switch 4 and a time detecting part 5 are connected to a microcomputer 1. The time detecting part 5 is prepared for detecting the elapsed time from the top position of the track at the track position of the interrupted time point (resume point), and a 'control part' is constituted for controlling so as to restart the reproduction from the track position of the interrupted time point when the detected time is longer than the prescribed time, and also so as to restart the reproduction from the top position of the track when the detected time is shorter than the prescribed time.
