PURPOSE: To reproduce the information of a recording carrier at a relatively high data rate by simultaneously scan the information stored on the planar optical recording carrier, which includes the related information that is spatially and individually stored and manufactured, by plural scanners.
CONSTITUTION: The signal outputs of a signal source 1 such as a video camera and a microphone are connected to a circuit 2 which generates a data flow corresponding to a beforehand determined data rate. The signals from the above signal source or other additional signal source 1 are connected to a circuit 3 which generates a second or another data flow and are respectively stored in individual optical recording carriers 4 and 5. Then, employing two scanning devices 10 and 11, the signals are synthesized or combined in an adding circuit 14, simultaneous reproductions of the carriers 4 and 5 are conducted by a reproducing circuit 15 at a double data rate. Two recording carriers 4 and 5 are joined in their back surfaces and are made into recording layers 7 and 8 and two transparent layers 6 and 9.
