PURPOSE: To provide a rescue vehicle for a cable railway system having a suspension tackle which can be folded, easily re-extended and stored at a station of the cable railway system in an operational state and to provide a lifting method for the rescue vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A rescue vehicle 1 for a cable railway system having at least one conveyance cable is provided with a rescue cage 3, a travel gear 2 and a suspension tackle 4. The travel gear 2 is suitable for stretching the conveyance cable, and the suspension tackle 4 is rotatably fitted to the travel gear 2 and has an upper horizontal member 431 and a lower horizontal member 42 and multiple cables. The multiple cables support the rescue cage 3 and cooperate to form a cable frame connected to the travel gear 2. A cable towing device is arranged on the rescue cage 3.
