Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rescue whistle which reliably lights up a luminous body just by being blown.SOLUTION: A whistle 10 is a compact whistle comprising a propeller 14, a motor 16, a voltage booster circuit 18, and an LED 20 arranged inside a resonant body 12. When breath is blown in through a blow-in port 22, the breath initially hits blades of the propeller 14 and turns the propeller 14. Rotation of the propeller 14 is transmitted to the motor 16 through a rotary shaft 34, and voltage generated by the motor 16 is boosted by the voltage booster circuit 18 to light up the LED 20. The breath then moves through a ventilation path 36 and exits the resonant body 12 from an embouchure hole 24, sounding the whistle thereby.
