Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a resetting device from being influenced by external noise even when a signal transmission line is long by converting a reset signal into an optical signal and transmitting the optical signal to a controller. CONSTITUTION:A host CPU 3 or a slave CPU 4 controls the operation of various industrial apparatuses or domestic apparatuses. A resetting circuit 5 is connected to the CPU 4 with an optical fiber 12 through a light emitting device 9 and a light receiving device 11. A reset signal outputted from the circuit 5 as an electric signal is inputted to the host CPU as it is through a signal transmission line 6 consisting of an electric wire, also converted into an optical signal by the light emitting device 9 and the optical signal is sent to the light receiving device 11 through the optical fiber 12. The optical signal sent to the light receiving device 11 is converted into an electric signal to reset the slave CPU 4.
