To provide a residual fuel detection apparatus for construction machine which is capable of detecting a residual fuel over a wide range while eliminating the need of seal means.
A residual fuel detection apparatus 35 is provided in a hydraulic excavator comprising a lower traveling body 1, an upper turning body 2 which is provided to be turned on the lower traveling body 1, a working machine 4 which is provided to be directed up and down in the upper turning body 2, and a fuel tank 27 mounted in the upper turning body 2 for storing the fuel of an engine, and detects the residual fuel in the fuel tank 27. The residual fuel detection apparatus comprises a base 37 which is mounted at a side of an upper plate in the fuel tank 27, an arm 38 which is connected to the base 37 and has a vertically stretchable pantagraph structure, a float 39 which is mounted at a distal end side of the arm 38 for stretching the arm 38 while following up a liquid level position of the fuel in the fuel tank 27, and an angle sensor 45 which detects a turning angle of a first link member 40a constituting the arm 38.
